“Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, a retrospect of the career of the British fashion designer. The show by review of the NY Times is said to be “…a button-pushing marvel: ethereal and gross, graceful and utterly manipulative, and poised on a line where fashion turns into something else”
I am looking forward to the opportunity to see what I’m sure is a marvel in presentation, imagination and design. Much of his designs were costume. Often his shows were shocking. Always the attention to detail, mechanics and presentation were amazing. This is a rare opportunity to see these things up-close.
