The Vogue Haul

Here is my little haul from Vogue Fabrics. I could have been worse, I am sure. I stuck with those items for which I had an idea.

The most unusual fabric is the flocked rayon silk blend. I reminded me of a jacket I saw from Isabel Marant. This will make a cute cardigan. Second in the stack is a fine stripe rayon blend. Great soft summer slacks. The last two are basics; black summer rayon suiting (Anne Klein) and a trouser weight denim. If I perfect the “crotch” this summer, I could love my denims more than those at retail.

I love cotton shirts. In humid climate, it is a way of looking nice and cool, when it is not. The first has a diamond pattern pintuck and the second has an all over tone on tone embroidery. Both pieces offer nice texture. Third is a piece of greenish-gray linen blend. Another warm weather pant.

Lastly is a tan cotton damask. I want this to be a fall jacket using one of my OOP Geoffrey Beene patterns. I think this will be the perfect vehicle.

All in all, I am proud of my decisions and my purchases. This will be the July Table.
