I like Stanley Clarkes new CD. Now, Stanley has produced some wonderful CDs in his time and some of them have not quite been worth commentary. Hey, a brother gotta get paid, don’t get me wrong. This CD, “Toys of Men”, takes me back a ways. There are some long format tunes on this CD, with a nice cast of players. Most of them I am not familiar with but they are strong contributors. Up and coming players, it seems.
So far, the title song, “Toys of Men” is my favorite. As I hit another play, I am sure to fill in more. Take a listen to Stanley on his site.
